Dreams come true! After 5 years of designing, making agreements and constructing spend with our architect friends, the revitalisation of the historic Carskie Koszary was finished. The second clinic in Warsaw was opened for patients. Uszyńscy Dental Clinic is for us something more than just a clinic. It is a fulfillment of our dreams of communion with beauty and the interpenetration of two worlds – medicine and art.
“The architectural concept was to leave the old building intact and to surround it with a glass passe- partout. To put it like in a frame. We wanted to combine the old with the new, but at the same time clearly distinguish one from the other. As a result, the external elevation of the building became an interior of the waiting room and the gallery.
The new part almost touches the old building – but not entirely, because it is separated by a glass ceiling.
The whole building has a total of about 60 different rooms and an underground garage. A large part is occupied by the common waiting room – gallery. In the basement there is a technical part. On the first floor there is our dental clinic. The first floor belongs to the tenants. There are 20 doctor’s offices of various specialties. On the last floor we are opening soon a dental training centre Uszyńscy Academy, where you can find conference rooms and phantom models for practical classes.
Powązkowska 44 in an outstanding, interdisciplinary project. You can find there a space open for the inhabitants of Żoliborz. You can use all sorts of medical services, but first of all you can drop in and read a book, enjoy the pictures or simply visit the old barracks.
It is planned as a pro-social project. For us, this place is our second home. We always wanted to create a space unique to us, our doctors, friends and patients. The Powązkowska 44 project was not only a business project for us. It realised a certain vision, a passion, bonding and development of interpersonal relations”.
